Watership

Candy Lovelace makes a living finding missing people, cheating husbands, and the occasional magical idiot around Austin.

Finding out what happened to her own mother is proving a lot harder, even with a little mermaid magic.

A missing gambler drags Candy into the backrooms of Austin’s magical underground, where pixies cheat at cards, Willen pass secrets through the tunnels beneath the city, and powerful families make problems disappear permanently.

Then Candy discovers her mother may have uncovered dark magic tied to the powerful Marchetti family before she vanished.

Now a mysterious locket, buried family secrets, and a string of threats aimed directly at Candy are pulling her toward answers someone killed to protect.

Turns out bringing a mermaid to a gunfight is a lot less crazy than it sounds.

Candy’s got Bluebell, her magic-sniffing pit bull, a gnomeish crime crew with questionable hobbies, a dangerously charming cop hiding more than one secret, and enough stubbornness to turn bad ideas into full-time career choices.

Unfortunately, Austin’s magical underground is waking up fast, and Candy’s about to learn that some family secrets don’t stay buried.

If you love urban fantasy packed with humor, found family, dangerous magic, supernatural mystery, and action with heart, dive into the next adventure in Watership today.

Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore in the U.S. but have had a weird wanderlust to live in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.

I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.

There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.

Thank you for checking out my stories! There's more at www.oriceran.com.
