Waif and See

Waif and See

Some grudges transcend death.

Merritt Vale thought dragons and dark mages were her greatest challenge. She was wrong. Watching her children discover that even Little Avalon cannot protect them from every danger cuts deeper than any blade.

While dark magic spikes toward war levels in France, a different evil stirs closer to home. Someone believed long defeated has returned with patience, power, and a personal grudge. Dreams become battlegrounds. Sleep offers no sanctuary.

The weapon to stop the coming war lies at the bottom of an enchanted pool in a dimension lost for ten thousand years. To save everyone she loves, Merritt must risk everything in a quest that will test her courage as both warrior and mother.

Something watches from the shadows of memory. The boundary between protector and prey grows thinner with each passing night.

Can Merritt retrieve the lance before her loved ones pay the price for her past victories? Will a mother's greatest enemy be her own need to keep those she loves safe?

You've followed Merritt from lost waif to legendary Guardian. Now witness her ultimate test in the series finale that will determine the fate of everyone she's fought to protect. Some endings demand everything—will Merritt's love be enough to forge the future she dreams of?

About Renée Jaggér
A long time ago I was born in Los Angeles. That's where I spent many of my formative years. After I became an adult, I moved around for a bit before ending up in a small town in Oregon, very similar to Bailey's hometown. Greenhearth is fake, if you haven't already Googled that, but it's like many small towns with less than 1,000 people.

My pets...
I love animals, especially my two even if they do create havoc in my daily life. I have a cat, named Snowstorm, Storm for short. Then I have a rescue, Josephine. She's a Labradoodle - I think. It's hard to say but it's the best I can come up with.

What I'm working on...
I'm already working on the next book in the series - was working on it before Bad Attitude came back from editing. And now that it has released, need to stay on track with A Bit Aggressive.
