Publishing 2.0 (or is it 3.0?)

I imagine I will post from time to time, as I spend a LOT more time working this business, rather than talking about the company.

In the year and a half that I have been publishing, a lot has changed, and a lot is changing yet.

I would like to spend just a few words to say that none of this, the whole Kurtherian and Oriceran Universes would not be possible without the amazing support of the fans, affectionately (or else) referred to as the Pitchfork and Matches group on Facebook.

I would like to confirm that no harm that I know of has occurred to any rubber chickens being dropped in boiling vats of Pepsi when we release new books to Amazon.

If that last paragraph made no sense whatsoever, that is absolutely fine. It just means you are about to go down the rabbit hole.

Nomad’s Justice Snippet 5!

Nomad’s Justice – coming Monday, April 10th (US)

This will be the last snippet because the book is on the home stretch! It doesn’t get any better than that.

It’s snowing here in Fairbanks. We have an extra inch to add to the feet of it remaining, despite the recent spate of fifty-degree temperatures during the day. I expect we’ll still have snow on the ground in the shaded areas into May. Which means the golf courses won’t open until the end of May at the earliest. Bummer. I will try to play more this year. I played twice last year. Bummer squared times pi.

I wrote another post-apocalyptic series, a little survival action in Alaska. There are wolves, bears, and moose, but no Were folk:) I’m running a giveaway on Goodreads for the omnibus paperback that has books 1-3, and I’ll ship it anywhere in the world, wherever the winner hails from. I’m working on my next Cygnus Space Opera. I had to calculate the acceleration over time curve for travel at a distance of just under one AU. This is where the internet can make us all look like geniuses. There’s an online calculator for that.

Angel of Reckoning Release!

For this vampire, it’s time to die… a second time.

Terry Henry Walton Chronicles – Book 6, Nomad’s Justice

I looked at the calendar and realized holy schnitzengrubens! It’s been three days and I need to drop a snippet while I’m waiting for the manuscript back from my editor.

Here I am enjoying the warm weather. I’ve broken my shorts out and am ready to wear them. It’s getting to 50F during the day which is definitely shorts weather in the sub-Arctic. But there’s so much melt that the muck boots and shorts aren’t a good look, so I’ll stick with jeans until we’re clear of the residual snow.

In any case, enjoy the fine spring weather and the latest snippet…

Nomad’s Justice – Terry Henry Walton Chronicles Book 6

A couple moose stopped by for a visit and dug a pumpkin out of a snowbank on our porch. It warmed up enough that it wasn’t a pumpkin-cicle. The calf took a close look inside the window to see what we were up to. Not much, so she went back to eating the pumpkin.

It will reach almost 50 today so there will be an extraordinary amount of meltage. We have massive runoff from our roof, where three feet of snow had been packed. The gutters are still packed and frozen, so it’s running over the sides. SWEET!

Soon it’ll all be over, like another four weeks of meltage and we may be snow free…

It will probably be another couple weeks before the manuscript is ready, but that is churning its way through the process. I’m still doing my edits and am displeased with my wording in a number of places, so I am doing a fair bit of rewriting.
