The Climb
Don’t look down or you’re doomed to fall.
Messing Academy’s student teacher program is a treacherous cliff. None before me managed to scale it, but they made one mistake I vowed to avoid.
Going it alone.
A social earthquake left friendships frayed and pledge bonds strained. I can’t fix them with otherworldly beings calling in favors. Or a determined spider shifter working to unravel our safety net.
I’ll have to trust my friends to shore things up while keeping them in the dark about my efforts. A magic contract means I’ll lose my talent if I talk, so I can’t ask for or give help.
Can I survive this climb, or am I one toehold away from a tumble?
