Penthia can kill the corrupted with magic, heal the dying and is learning to do even more, bring back the dead. It makes her indispensable in war, but it has a cost even she isn’t willing to admit.
With her battle-cat Felidae, she arrives just in time to turn impossible battles into desperate victories. Each triumph should push the enemy back. Instead, something adapts to her tactics, appearing where she struggles to get to and vanishing before she can destroy it.
The phase creature defies physics, walking through solid matter while commanding corrupted armies. Can Penthia figure out how to stop it and save those it targets?
The Isle of the Ancestors, a place of aid for so many years might hold the answers to some of the secrets the Protectorate still guards, but Penthia must find them first. Can she gain even more aid and begin to unravel the past?
What is it the Protectorate think should be hidden from all knowledge, and can Penthia handle what it means for her to follow in the footsteps of the very first warrior dragon? Will her path to becoming the most powerful dragon they know of, lead her to the destruction the Protectorate fear?
