Dragon of Lore

Dragon of Lore

Dragons have protected for millennia, but not any longer.

No matter what Penthia and her battle-cat companion do, the corrupted are winning. Bit by bit, they wear away at the defences standing between them and the extinction of every sentient race.

Magic runs through each dragon, a birth-right, but also a way to control, fight and protect. Penthia knows that she should be capable of even more, but the Protectorate have taken away most of the knowledge she needs, hiding it in archives with no caretaker. Can she find the information she needs to take her magic use to a brand new level? Or will lives be lost before she succeeds.

Because somewhere in the archives lies a truth about their enemy that the Protectorate buried for a reason. Was there ever a diamond dragon? Can she truly consider becoming one? Or is this a secret best left forgotten?

Time is running out and no one else going to save them. Penthia must lead what is left of the dragons and humanity to hold back the relentless enemy.

Can she unlock the power to save them all? Or will she become the very thing they fear?

Talia Beckett

Until very recently Talia went by the name Jess Mountifield, but she's currently going through the legal process of changing her name and all sorts of things associated with it. Soon she'll just be Talia Beckett and everything associated with her will be under this name too. Until then, please bear with me as we make the transition.

Talia was born in the quaint village of Woodbridge in the UK, has spent some of her childhood in the States and now resides near the beautiful Roman city of Bath. She lives with her two tiny humans (one boy and one girl) and near an amazing group of friends who support her career and life choices.

During her still relatively short life Talia has displayed an innate curiosity for learning new things and has therefore studied many subjects, from maths and the sciences, to history and drama. Talia now works full time as a writer and mummy, incorporating many of the subjects she has an interest in within her plots and characters.

When she's not busy with work and keeping her tiny humans alive she can often be found with friends, playing with miniature characters, dice and pieces of paper covered in funny stats and notes about fictional adventures her figures have been on.
